Dobson ORDINANCE NO. 10411 AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING HURSTWOOD DRIVE LOCATED SOUTHEAST FROM SEMI-CIRCLE DRIVE, SOUTHWEST OF KNOLLWOOD DRIVE, MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN, UPON CERTAIN CONDITIONS. _______________________ SECTION 1. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby closed and abandoned Hurstwood Drive located southeast from Semi-Circle Drive, southwest of Knollwood Drive, more particularly described herein, and as shown on plat attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference: Hurstwood Drive, a 50 foot wide unopened right-of-way beginning on the southeast line of Semi-Circle Drive 270.1 feet southwest of the intersection of the southeast line of Semi-Circle Drive with the southwest line of Knollwood Drive, said point being the northwest corner of lot 10, Plan of Lots 5, 6, and 13, Block 2, and Lots 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11, Block 1, Knollwood Hill Extension, as shown by plat of record in plat book 19, page 24, ROHC, thence southeast some 282.56 feet with the southwest line of said lot 10, and the extension thereof, (being the northeast line of Hurstwood Drive as shown on said plat), thence southwest some 55 feet to the southwest line of Hurstwood Drive (as shown on said plat), thence northwest some 262.42 feet with Hurstwood Drive, and continuing with the northeast line of lot 9, said subdivision, to the southeast line of Semi-Circle Drive, thence northeast some 50 feet with Semi-Circle Drive to the northwest corner of said lot 10, the point of beginning. Tax Map No. 118H-E-21, 22, 23, and 30. SECTION 2. BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this closure and abandonment is made subject to the following conditions: 1. Abandonment of Hurstwood Drive would create a land-locked situation for Lot #30 which will have to be resolved through a resubdivision. 2. The areas reserved for utility easements must be kept free and clear of all structures. 3. All existing easements are retained. SECTION 3. BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this Ordinance shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage as provided by law.
